"One of the best experiences of my life." This is how the actress Glenn Close describes her experience on the set of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mistery, the third chapter of Knives Out. The filming of the film ended last week, and the director of the film Rian Johnson gave the news with a post on his social profiles. In a recent interview, the famous actress talked about her positive experience on the set of the film and with the director.

The successful saga, which began in 2019 with the first Knives Out film, has captured the attention of the public thanks to the stellar cast and the plot centered on the charming detective Benoit Blanc played by Daniel Craig. In this third chapter, the British actor will be joined by a mix of famous actors, including in addition to Craig and Close, Kerry Washington, Josh O’Connor, Andrew Scott, Josh Brolin, Cailee Spaeny, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack and Thomas Haden Church.

In a recent interview for People magazine, multiple Oscar nominees Glenn Close spoke about her experience on the set of the film and how it was one of the best experiences of her career. “I shot in London with Rian Johnson. He’s such a wonderful human being. He’s kind, he’s brilliant. And he has a great laugh!” Speaking about the shoot and the cast she worked with, Close said: “[the director] has assembled a fabulous team around him and he’s put together a great cast led by Daniel Craig, who is wonderful.”

Unable to give any plot details, the actress did say she was most excited about the ensemble scenes the cast filmed together: “We have scenes where we’re all in the same room, and I can’t wait to see what he does and what he does and what she does… it’s so much fun.” Speaking about filming away from home, Close said she was “so happy to have had such a great experience. I hate having to leave the house,” but luckily she’s accompanied by her dog Pip: “Little Pippi wins everyone over on set. She helps me stay still and not have to think too much, she helps me not feel too homesick.”

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mistery is scheduled to be released in 2025 on Netflix.
