After Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we still don’t know what the future holds for Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch in the MCU. The character may have died beneath Mount Wundagore, but her story is definitely not over, and there are plenty of places in the multiverse that could see Wanda Maximoff pop up out of nowhere.

If recent online scoops are to be believed, a Scarlet Witch movie has been on the horizon for a long time now. Agatha All Along, meanwhile, has stated that Wanda is “gone,” but she deliberately avoided using the word “dead,” which adds a lot of nuance to the statement. During a recent Q&A at a convention, Elizabeth Olsen was asked if there were any particular storylines she’d like to adapt into the MCU. Her answer has gotten fans’ attention on social media.

“Well, honestly, if I had to tell you exactly what I want, I think I might spoil something,” the actress said. “Kevin Feige genuinely asks us what we want to do with the character and then does it [laughs], so I don’t know if I can share… I just want to come back.” This is probably Olsen’s biggest hint yet that she’ll return, and we imagine she’ll appear in the next Avengers films before taking the lead in a project that will likely feature appearances by Vision, Agatha Harkness, Wiccan, and Speed.

Wanda’s knowledge of the Multiverse could be crucial to how Doomsday and Secret Wars play out, and there are already rumors online that she could fall into the clutches of Doctor Doom. Marvel Studios must be aware of how dissatisfied fans were with the way Scarlet Witch’s story played out in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, so the sooner they find a way to bring her back to right that wrong, the better for everyone.
