In an Instagram post, Gomez shared her excitement for the experience, saying, “NOTHING will ever beat making kids laugh.” For her, the series represents a special connection to a formative period in her life and career.


How did Wizards of Waverly Place come to be?

In the show, Selena Gomez reprises her role as Alex Russo in a few episodes of the first season. In the storyline, Alex introduces his brother Justin (David Henrie) to Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown), a young sorceress who needs guidance on a crucial mission. The return marks not only a nostalgia trip for fans of the original series but also an opportunity to introduce the Russo family’s magic to a new generation. In an interview, Gomez called returning to the set “like coming home,” emphasizing the importance of her friendship with David Henrie. The two’s bond, which began while filming the original series, continues to be a source of support and authenticity in the singer and actress’s life.
